about

Weird Feelings

The second Deadfood record is no disappointment and it's even weirder than the first. This is surely a great mixture of screaming, jazzy grind, retarded organ melodies, experimental sound effects and much more. Very mushroom influenced soundscapes mutating and changing all the time. The last track is pretty much just ambience and ending to the sound of someone sucking a bong, which starts at 14:55 and lasts to 25:00 and then a drum starts to hit, twisted guitar comes along, some strange vocals and an organ.
This album leaves you confused, but always wanting more. Weirdness at its best.

Or

This be a strange beast indeed. Although it seems to be based on somewhat of a grind aesthetic, there are many other things to take into consideration, such as clean vocals, piano, sound effects, keyboards and xylophones, and they actually only go full-tilt grind on the track "Eximo". Cowpunk and older Meat Puppets (and I'm not just making a food association here) also play a role in the sound of Deadfood, but they are really too strange to describe with any clarity, and totally impossible to categorize. The track "Barbara" sounds like Pspazz, and a highlight of the album is a cover of the Old Lady Drivers' hit "Colostomy Grab Bag". The last two tracks are ambient soundscapes -- what the heck is going on here?

And then there’s…

is release is not of this earth!!! the cd consists in more than 60 minutes of complex, progressive, psychedelic and silly non-music. if you usually take some drugs stop it you'll find the same effects at a cheapest price in this piece of unstable insanity. this is an acid jam of strange sounds! you'll for sure get lost just after 15 minutes that you're listening this, after 30 minutes you've got a sweet sense of nausea growing up and towards the end of this cd you'll lost your usual perceptions. just to give you an idea, their music could be near to the early hallucinated Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and if you know it to a '70 band known as Captain bè efheart! so, if you need something strange and for sure unique in your cd collection try to get a copy of this cd asap!
